ADVOCATING FOR PARENTS AND FAMILIES INVOLVED WITH CHILDREN'S AID SOCIETY

Providing legal services in child protection to parents and families in the London Ontario region

Legal protection services for families

The Children’s Aid Society of London & Middlesex is one of 48 child protection agencies in Ontario charged with the protection of children. The Society has the authority to investigate concerns regarding the welfare and safety of a child. If there are concerns regarding the care of the child, the Society will work with the family to address these concerns, in extreme cases the Society will remove the child from their home.

Our office works with parents and families to navigate the legal issues surrounding child protection and advocate of the return of children to parents or the placement of children with family members when returning home is not an option.

When should you consider legal help?

  • The Children’s Aid Society has contacted you to discuss an allegation

  • The Children’s Aid Society has served you with court documents

  • You would like to have your grandchildren placed with and you are not sure of the next steps
